Coming from a medical background into the financial services industry seems like a COMPLETELY different career direction, and it is...... and it isn't. I'll explain...
As an EMT/ Critical Care Technician at a Level 1 Trauma center, as well as spending 8 years as a Combat Medic (91B) in the U.S. Army, staff, patients, and their families depended on me to deliver accurate, dependable care. I provided an outstanding patient experience throughout my career, both in the technical aspects of the job, as well as simply being there to listen when a patient or family member needed an ear. I attempted, and was successful, at making a trying, often desperate time a little more bearable, and sometimes even enjoyable.
As a Financial Advisor*, my job demands the same level of excellence, only now, I'm helping my clients prepare for the expected, as well as the unexpected, and keeping them informed along the way. I get to interact with different people from varying backgrounds on a daily basis, and I consider this as much a service career as I do the nursing industry.
*Financial Advisor offering Investment Advisory Services through Eagle Strategies LLC, a Registered Investment Advisor.
I want to have an impact, for the better, on the lives of my clients, and their families. That's why I became a *Financial Advisor in the first place.
One of the first questions I hear is "Am I saving enough?". That is as unique as a fingerprint from person to person. We want our clients to save appropriately, and actually understand WHY they're doing it. Education is a large part of what we provide our clients. It is truly an amazing experience to see someone's eyes light up when they discover how their retirement accounts actually work, rather than simply getting a statement in the mail every quarter that either gets filed without a look, or, worse yet, shredded without being opened. We're well versed in the DROP (Deferred Retirement Option Program), Deferred Compensation/ 457 plans, as well as many other options that many of our clients never knew existed prior to meeting with us. Please give me a call, anytime, at (410) 302-2992. If I am not available, please leave a message for a prompt response, or call our Client Relationship Manager, Tammy, at (410) 302-0083.

In 2020, New York native Jesse Portello began his career in the financial services industry. Prior to this, he had been an account sales executive with the New York Mets. After a family member experienced a devastating financial dilemma, Jesse was able to help figure out the situation and help make sense of it to those involved. He realized then that he had a passion for this industry, and he made a commitment to make this his career and calling. Upon making the switch to the financial industry, he met his friend, and now business associate, Ryan Malone. They both knew that they had always admired those in public service, so they have jointly spent the last 4 years assisting members of many police and fire agencies in New York (NYPD and FDNY extensively), New Jersey, and many other states in securing their financial futures and helping them plan for the expected, as well as the unexpected. In early 2024, Jesse and Ryan met Brian Shea, and after many mutually beneficial discussions and conversations, they joined Tactical Financial Group as Co-Vice Presidents. The passion that they have, and share, for their work is evident in their day to day lives. Jesse currently holds the Life and Health License, as well as the FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 Licenses. He resides in Hoboken NJ with his lovely wife, Alexis and dog Shea.
Ryan Malone came to the financial services industry in 2020 after a successful career in the hospitality and hotel industry. He loved the interaction with the clients, and decided to take it a step further and bet on himself. His career began when he followed his passion and began serving those that serve us. Having a great deal of admiration for those that don the uniform of service every day, he began working with these brave men and women to help them better understand their current benefits, and to assist them in preparing for retirement and later life. As a New Yorker himself, the FDNY and NYPD were the first to get the help they needed. Since then, dozens of other departments in many other states have benefited from the passion that Ryan has for his clients and friends. When he met his associate, Jesse Portello, their shared passion and enthusiasm set them onto a new trajectory. Their days and evenings (even nights and weekends) are spent diligently serving, and helping to financially protect those that do so much for us. In early 2024, He and his partner, Jesse, joined Tactical Financial Group as Co-Vice Presidents after meeting with Brian Shea, founder of TFG, and realizing that they were in direct alignment in a business sense, as well as finding the same sense of urgency to serve and give back. Ryan currently holds the Life and Health License, as well as the FINRA Series 6 and Series 63 Licenses. He resides in Queens, NY with his lovely wife, Megan.
Tammy is Tactical Financial Group's Client Relationship Manager. She is the hub around which the office operates. She comes from a career as an accounting manager. She and Brian have been married for 13 years, they have 2 children and 2 grandchildren. They reside in Chase, Maryland.

Mark Davis came to Tactical Financial Group and New York Life from the restaurant industry. Mark is married and lives in Columbia, Md. Mark currently holds his life and health license, as well as the FINRA Series 6 license.
